Mark has a conversation about living organ donation with Sigrid Fry-Revere, president of the American Living Organ Donor Network which helps living organ donors meet their non-medical donation related expenses, like travel, lodging, and unpaid leave. Most people don’t realize that there will never be enough organs even if everyone agreed to be a donor once they died. A third or more organ donations done in the United States are from live donors, mostly family members and friends who want to save the life of a loved one. Other topics touched on included deceased organ donation, the illegal organ market, and hospice.
