I find massages very therapeutic, relaxing and beneficial. My kids gave me a gift certificate for my birthday, and I can’t get there fast enough. Studies have been done showing the various benefits of massage.
So Are Massages Really Beneficial? Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn. I just find it relaxing. For an hour (give or take), you get to lay down, unwind, let your cares float away.
What’s not to like? Not everyone does, though. Some people don’t like to be touched. Some
people prefer a lighter touch (communicating this in advance to your masseuse will make your overall experience that much more enjoyable). If you’re a man and prefer a woman, or vice versa, maybe you can request this.
Whatever your preferences and or needs, give it a try. Oh, and if you’ve got a kink somewhere,
be sure and let them know – they might want to give that area more attention.
And try to find a reasonably priced place. It’s not as relaxing if you feel you’re overpaying.
So kick back, lay down, take a deep breath – and enjoy.
